Well you met the challenge of "5", but the photo isn't very compelling. This image could be improved by showing the entire candles, not croping them off, and by having a sharper focus. Good attempt keep working on your technique.

The biggest thing I see in this picture is that it's either out of focus or a slight case of camera shake (my money's on the latter). The concept isn't bad, but at least some of the elements needs to be sharp for me.

My other problem is the headless candles. Either including the entity of the candles (shorter candles would do if you didn't want to end up with a picture that was too vertical) or even no candles at all.

The lower edge is a little tight to the base of the candlestick for me; if I was reshooting this I'd give a bit more space at the bottom, lose the candles and move the camera up a little too - the holders at the rear are too obscured by the ones in front and a higher angle would give them more visibility.

Image appears tilted to the left a little bit. You also have some undesirable light reflections that could have been burned a bit. Grayish background is not contributing in the best way, and the tight crop both at the bottom and on the top is excessive. Just my opinion, take it for what its worth.

this needs sharpening!

Not quite in focus or a little bit of camera shake taking place here.

Could be sharper, I think.

The focus seems to be way off. Good idea though

Two things I see that need a bit of improvement. Focus..where is it? There really is not a center of focus here. Second we don't see the candles, their tops of chopped off. Your idea for the challenge and your find are very good. The white background is washing out your shot. Take a bit more time. I hope this is helpful to you.

the crop of this is kinda strange...i feel like eigther the top or bottom should be included

also as i look at it more there apears to be some camera shake to the image or it is not in a sharp focus....which in the case of this shot (i feel) degrades from what could be a nice simple image...

i think here a diffrent framing is required and a diffrean light sorce 1 that is not so flat as a flash can be.......GL

focus is off

Lighting not great, not sharp - perhaps a focus issue or just not sharpened in PP. Composition lacks - very centered, cut off. background is a bit dull. Perhaps fix the technical issues, and then try colored candles and a contrasting background, or put this on a grand piano or other prop to add some pizzazz.
