 After a freak spring ice storm, everything was covered - even the bright red berries from last fall!!

I have to think that this would've scored higher in the weather challenge. There is some color in the shot, but it isn't a very strong element. The photo is a bit drab - which reflects the weather nicely but doesn't help with the colors. I actually like the dof, but the branch still blends in with the bg a bit too much. Maybe you could have used a slightly different angle and avoided the dark, thick branches and telephone pole as they are the most distracting. The black blob in the upper left corner is also a bit bothersome. You might have also tried some fill flash or having someone shine some light on it to help it stand out even more.
Decent shot.. not the best challenge for it though. Blur a bright colored posterboard behind it and it'd fit the challenge and stand out better.

It's far too cold where you live (and where I live) When are the buds blooming and stuff!??! OK enoug - good shot, not sure the DOF works on tis shot because of the similiarity of colors in the bg.

you have captured these frozen berries beautiful. I thought about whether I prefer a greater DOF, and decided you got it right! The focus is solely on the berries, and that is where it should be. That said, the background, though out of focus, is a bit distracting to the left. Not sure how you could have fixed that thought, besides cutting down some trees! Well done in any event! 9

I typically enjoy wintery images and I quite like this one. I only wish there was a little more contrast in brightness between the subject and the background to better offset the subject from the background.

A lovely idea - the ice distorts the shapes making them more color than substance. Dreaming of Summer? Would be even better closer.
