This pic just makes me chuckle because of the expression on the little guy's face, plus his arm up on the tree. I'm not sure if he was more curious about me, or I was about him. Adjusted some levels, a little brightness enhance, USM, and resize for posting.

The backlight seems blown out and makes the squirrel appear fuzzy. The composition isn't really minimalist, but I do appreciate the squirrel's casual pose with his paw up on the tree.

Ooh my gawd! This opened up and just tickled me pink. Gave me quite a smile and chuckle. I think it actually fits the challenge too. I like the composition. Good dof and exposure too. I just love the squirrel, his expression and pose, and your title. hehehe, he should go into acting. I just love it. Oh, did you get a signed model release? :-)

Wow cute animal, wish we had them in my country. But I wish it was another competition since this isn't very suitable for minimalism in my mind.

NIce photo. The subject could have been smaller and still make the photo.

Cute pic. The focus on the squirrel seems a bit soft though.

Nice capture. Seems sightly OOF on the subject and I would of loved to seen it placed a little more to the right placing it on the thirds. Not because of the rule of thirds apply all the time but because the background tree to the right is slightly distracting. Buy moving the subject to the right you would of achieved a better composition and that distraction [tree] would of been eliminated. However I still like your picture and feel you did a good job 6

good capture. I know that doesn't help... What would improve this image for me is a different crop. I know within the confines of the challenge you wanted the squirrel as small as possible but this would work better (for me at least) cropped a little more tightly. The colors here are a little flat which makes the image look a little flat but you captured a great moment. Bet he thinks you are staring him down! I'd like to see work on this outside the challenge as I believe it has great potential but right now, is not quite there. Good Luck!

Great composition. The colors do not really snap, wonder what would happen if you increase the contrast as it, maybe play with the saturation.

i would try sharpening this image a bit... i would use unsharp mark with a radius (pixels) around 0.5 and a high amount (%)

A difficult image to comment on really, it has simplicity and is minimal, but the elegance I associate with minimalism is lacking

Hah, okay, cute and somewhat funny. The multiple oblique angles add to the effect. Blown highlights behind the squirrel are hard on the eyes and distracting, however.
