Desaturated everything but the Cyan channel. Contrast, Unsharpen mask..

I like this. Wish I had the foresight to pick up that leaf.

Critique Club knock knock:

Hiya Matt. When I first opened the thumbnail to this pic I wasn't struck by any "wow" effect, although the more I looked at it the more I liked it. Your choice to highlight one color only was a good decision, especially this color which wasn't represented so often in the color challenge. If the flowers had been red or yellow I wouldn't have been as impressed with it as I am.

As I mentioned in my comment below, you have applied the rule of thirds effectively. The composition is very good.

What is missing perhaps is detail, I would have liked to have seen the flowers sharper, more in focus, as they are the main subject in your image. And being the main subject I would also have like to see a little more of the flowers, maybe zoomed in a tad more.

Okay the leaf on the ground is a matter of opinion, personally I don't really find it all that disturbing.

The process of de-saturating all the colors bar one can be very effective if done well, and often it is applied terribly. In your case you have done a good job of it, I like it.

Alright - move the big leave lower left center! sheesh. Great use of desat. I like the crop because they REALLY look alone like this - what if you left more of the wall on the right, too? You=7. ;)

excellent contrast with B&W, stones to flowers, and blue to grey. I like the emotive mood set by this pic - 10

I really like your idea with the picture, having the rest black and white except for the flowers. Only problem is that the flowers are out of focus, which is a shame because this is a a good pic.

Poor little ? forget me nots ?... I don't really care for the texture and shape of the stones in the rock wall. They distract me from your main subject, which is the flowers.

The B&W of the image really enhances the blue color. Excellent usage of the rule of thirds - Gary.

With so many reds out there, I really enjoyed the cold blue flowers.

Very nice job with the desaturation of this shot! (I have tried to do similar shots, but have not had very good results...)

I love this shot. Great landscape, but even better with the selective color only having the cyans come out like that. You could have done better on the greens...but hey...those are hard, I know.
