Challenge: Rock, Paper, Scissors (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon PowerShot G5
Location: My lovely (but rather overgrown) garden

Aperture: F/2.5
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/50 sec
Galleries: Nature, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Apr 18, 2005

I love this fountain. I had a hard time deciding whether to go with colour or b&w, but here goes. Unfortunately, it required a LOT of compression - I hope the score doesn't suffer too much as a result. I also hope it's very obvious that the fountain is made of rock...

Editing: Resized, cropped, hue/saturation, curves, levels, unsharp mask, border.

i don't really think this needs a border. it's a nice shot, but pretty busy.

the framing makes it look like a movie or video game scene. i really love the shot, great sharpness and b/w. 9

A rather chaotic compostion, but it seems to work out in the end.

The foreground flowers, while they add depth to the composition, are distracting because of their brightness. Perhaps this shot from another angle would work better?

I'm not getting the horizontal framing in this shot... It would be gorgeous without it, but it competes aggressivley for my attention.

I'm not sure if it's the contrast, or something else, but this photo seems to be very flat. There's really nothing to entice the eye to explore the image.

Very good image, although a little complex. Neverthless, you've managed to create a good composition from an original and different idea.

image is very busy and I predict that you will get blasted for the borders 6
