Well, I'm probably not going to do well in the challenge. But I enjoyed creating the image. Yes, this is me at Glenn Dale Hospital, the location of my abandoned buildings entry. Hence the title.

Post processing involved, balance, levels, saturation, sharpening, blur. No spot editing.

I want to thank everyone for their comments; they were greatly appreciated! I guess what I was trying didn't really work here - most people thought the blur of the subject was unintentional. Back to the drawing board! I was trying for a look of desperation - she woke up in the morning and her lover was gone. I missed. If anyone has any ideas how to acheive this, please let me know!

BTW - it was great fun being almost naked in public - about 100 feet behind is a well traveled road. Another experience for the books! Thanks to the members of DPC for pushing me out of my box!

who in his right mind would abondon her? Grteat example where soft focus on the subject works.

Not sure the title fits, but interesting shot.

Good composition, but it needs better focus and the blowout in the upper right is distracting.

I really like this shot, and gave it a 6. I think the focus point is a bit off, causing the model to be slightly more out of focus than I would like. I think the focus is on the ivy in the foreground, when it should be on the model itself.

I might have cropped this just a little tighter to get rid of the bright spot in the upper right corner. Like the softer tones in this.

Would have been outstanding if the focus would have been on the woman. It looks like the camera focused on the left vine. Still a good photo though. Colors seem a little flat.

one of my top photos, nice photo, great setting, model angle etc. my only critasism is the girl herself isnt sharpley in focus, the near wall is in sharp focus thus pulling the eye into the ivy. imo. still really like it though.

I like the idea...model could be great but the light here looks really wrong...too bright, additionally it seems like her face is out of focus

Funny how technical imperfection adds mood to the image. Very nice.

If your subject was in focus this shot would have been top notch. I do like what you were trying.

Foreground vines and brick too focused (and she is not)... to sobering where it seems there was an attempt at a dreamy morning-after theme with the girl wrapped in sheets.

Looks like focus is on the ivy nearest the lens, instead of on the face of the girl. Nice composition though.

Really nice idea but her face looks either out of focus or she moved??? As the centre of attention, maybe she needs to be clearer?

Good framing, tighter focus on the subject would have been better
