Thanks everyone for your kind words and votes. Here's how this was done, if you didn't figure it out:

I took a screen shot of DPC, logged out first to remove my name, and overlayed an image of a broken windshield. Then I displayed this on one of my CRT based computers, full screen. Rolled up some sticky tack to hold the tack, then added the note. Lighting was the toughest thing--I had to balance the light of the CRT with the external lights on the note. I did this real late (started at 10:30, though I had the screen capture from earlier in the day), and I tried lots of lighting positions and angles. Unfortunately, when you start so late as I did, I didn't have enough time to go through all the shots carefully to pick the best one, and perhaps this straight on shot was not dramatic enough. But I'm relatively happy with score and placement--except it was over 6 until the last 30 minutes or when the vote scrubber took over!

That is absolutely hilarious! I missed this one while I was in Italy, but it's one of the mostest more clever images I've seen here. ;-)

Neil, This is awsome! I was thinking of trying to enter this one but couldn't come up with any ideas even a fraction as creative as yours. Great planning and good work!!!

Hey. . . . . .I LOVE this. . . .there's my one and only ribbon winning stork forever memorialized on the front page in this picture :) :) I think I better give this one a 10 and choose it as a favorite :) That, and it really is creative and cute :)

Glad none of my ribbon shots were up there - lol
This is a clever and well done shot!
(nice job on logging out so we didn't know who you were too)

Clever, but not real interesting in terms of composition, lighting and all the other things we normally look for in a photo.

Love the image but there are no tacks in it. ;) Wish the DOF was a little larger to get the push pin in focus better. But - I love the idea/concept so much I am giving you a 10.

Woohoo! My shot is in there =). Firefox, good stuff. Lots of tabs! MSN, Gmail, Ebay, Amazon, Dell, and many others, wow. Awsome idea, I'd like to see how you did it (my guess is it is a normal piece of glass over the monitor).

lol, This is a great image, although I view the challenge as Plural, more than one tack.
