| I don't know anything about sailing tacks, but what does it matter - this shot is gorgeous. The various colors of blue blend so beautifully together, with the red adding a lovely touch of contrast. The composition with the boat cutting through the frame from the right is very nice and the chain leading into the water is a beautiful detail that helps to keep the viewer's eyes within the picture. Very nice! 9 |

| This is a great photo as it stands. Very nice colors, good composition with the boat coming into the photo at an angle. Exposure is right on. However, this photo is like a fish out of water for this challenge. Yes, sailing tacks technically works for the challenge but without showing a sail it's a thin connection. I'm afraid even with the descriptive title (without the title the connection to challenge is tenuous) many aren't going to get, or appreciate, this entry. I would definitely put this on DPCPrints. | Beautiful colors, great composition, but even with sailing in the title of your shot, this one doesn't fit the category to me, a little to subtle...sorry. Usually an automatic 3 when I vote but its so pretty I'm giving it a 5 |

| very pretty. I see no tacks in this image. ;) Not sure if its over saturation or noise that I am seeing. Maybe oversharpened - I think this would work better a little softer. excellent colors. 7 may bump later. Bump to 8 |

| Nicely taken colorful and different representation of tacks. Its a nice change! I was getting a little "stuck" on which of the other pictures were my favorites, but this one is right up there!! Great job. |

| I like the creative take on the challenge. Great color in the boat -- only suggestion is a bit less color in the water as it competes with the boat's color so neither stands out. (just my opinion, of course) |
