 This picture was taken on November 26, 2004 at a Dole Banana plantation in Costa Rica. This man is from Nicaragua, and a languishing economy forced him to find work across the border in Costa Rica. I was struck by his strong features, and wondered what he was thinking. He looked so fiercely sad.
