I've been driving past this place daily for 21 years. I've watched it collapse sloooowly.

Of the dozen or so shots I took, I used the one that was most over-exposed, because it created the most range of tones when turned into black and white.

The cropping was a result of trying to eliminate distracting elements (trees, the street, signs) to give the impression of isolation. I could not do anything with the featureless sky, so chose to crop it, so there was no large white space, which would have surely ruined the picture.

A very imppressive b/w study as these structures byte the dust. 7

Like the horizontal cropping...works perfectly with the buildings. Nice light.

Since this seems to be on a hill, I think I would have tried to get shot from a different view point. The bright sky all the way across pulls eye out of picture.

Nice shot...I like that is a panaramic shot(long ways) it looks neat, and i also like how it in black and white it brings out the image and the texture of the grass is greta.

Pretty good contrast. The buildings are just starting to blend in with the background though. It would have been nice to see a good solid roof line.

Ok, I know this is a matter of oppinion.....I don't like photos that use such frame demensions.....I thing the photographer helps him/her self by trying to produce images that resemble the same demensions that your camera and camera's finder see's,,,,framed images like this one always wanting to see more that is beyond the edges......That being said I will try to let my dislikes go by the way side. The envornment that surrounds these buildings are the most important element here, without the emtyness of its surrounding these building don't speak to me because I believe my point of view is to far away for me to allow them to speak to me.

I like that you present a B&W image here, it simplifies things for me allowing me to get more involved. The simplicity of the image is its strengh........5

A decent shot. I think the composition could use more sky, or more land.

Wow! This is really a neat picture! I hope you aren't getting marked down for it's size because I really think it looks awesome! It's very crisp and sharp, and I love the land the building is on. Good luck!!

There is a fine line between abandoned buildings and ruins. This photo looks to me more like ruins.
