Picture of dried mud found by an abandoned railroad. I can see a side profile of a man's face, hence the title. Do you see the man? I love the textures in this image and the different tones I was able to capture. The crack lines are great too. I am very happy with this image.

"WOW" this is such a great find, and love this one. I think I like it more due to the fact you have it in black & white, and not the earthy tones. I see the mans profile also, well done.

The tonal range is great! I never spot things like it, inspires me to keep my eyes open! I really hope it does well. 9

I quite like the centred composition. I personally feel that this sort of image would make a lovely print for an office. One can stare at it for ages, looking for patterns.

dramatic tones and lines, but it misses a voice.

edit: see the face now.. tough to get. I looked at this photo for some time the first go around, and then again for a few minutes before I saw the face. I still like the shot, but its rather subtle!

love this! i always find these types of shots inspirational, in that they make it so obvious how much stuff there is out there to see if we'd just stop looking. great range of tones and textures. i really hope this doesn't get overlooked in the challenge, and that it gets the attention is deserves. good luck!

I think that many really good photos look edible....this is one of them! Very attractive patterning and enigmatic dry/wet patches. My stomach gives you 8.

Love this photo - detail and composition are abstractly beautiful . Guess that it may not hold enopugh interest for some to garner consistently high votes it deserves, but I really like it.

Very nice abstract and a great treatment done. I really like this image --- the lines lead from one to the next and the viewer becomes enthralled in the shot. Very well done. 8.
