A cool shot and consider 65 out of 506. It is these high count challenges that allow good images like this to fall below radar. In a smaller count challenge this would have easily made top 20 or top ten and under better conditions it may have even scored a ribbon.

Thanks for all the great comments. I'm going to dig up the original & see why I didn't crop further to the left, which is such good advice I don't understand why I didn't do it, there must have been a llama standing in the way or something, hopefully not.

The water there is naturally very yellow, I don't know why. I'm going to see if I can paint some desaturation over it to make it white.

If things turn out, I might actually print it out and stick it on my wall.

I would've liked to have done a longer exposure to soften the water, alas it was very sunny out (hence the rainbow), I don't have a filter for my little point & shoot, and I left my sunglasses back in my car, so I couldn't even use them. :-(

nice, pleasant scene. The water looks a bit strange...maybe a bit oversaturated? (Now that sounds wierd - oversaturated water)

This has it all - an interesting subject, good depth of field, and the eye is led down the waterfall. This is slightly interrupted by the rainbow, but I'm certainly not going to argue that the photo would have been better without it. Awesome. 10.

Great rainbow! I think I'd have preferred a slightly slower shuter to smooth out the water, but otherwise this is very well done with foreground and background elements.
