Critique Club:

Congratulations on your first photo submission. Your subject does interpret symmetry, perhaps not in the mirrored symmetry sense, but symmetry is there so the challenge has definitely been met.

Good composition. My eyes are being led into the middle of the photo as the leaves form leading lines. The light at the top of the image is a little distracting, I would have either cropped that out or changed the position of the plant to avoid the glare. The lighting is otherwise good and the green of the plant very subtle.

I like this shot and hope to see more of your submissions in future.

A bit of mist on the leaves would have been a nice touch. Block out the glare at the top of the image as it is too distracting. Maybe crop the image so to emphasize only the crown. Also try using a reflective surface to give the crown a bit more light and contrast.

I love this one. Just a little too bright on top, but overall, great! 7.

I would have cropped out the light source.
