This is an interesting lamp, I thought it would work good in this challenge. I've had trouble picking a submition for this challenge.

Instead of the traditional "A" symmetrical image, I chose another form of symmetry. Of the four types of symmetry this photo fits in best with rotational symmetry. If you slice the image in half horizontally, then rotate one of the halfs 180 degrees the half you moved will be symetrical to the adjacent half.

Critique Club:

Hi Rob. I'm glad I got given this one to critique, I gave it a 9 in the challenge. A very clever idea and very well composed, I liked this one as thumbnail and when I clicked the full image I wasn't disappointed. The colors are amazing, the lighting perfect and the challenge met fully. Rotational symmetry is also symmetry :-)

Not much to criticise here really. There is a little graininess in the image but in my opinion it works here. The black hole is a little off-center but you can't really see it with the eye if you look casually at it. (I used a ruler he he).

A very good image which you can be proud of, 13th place from 228 entries is excellent, and your best score yet, congratulations.

Interesting pic. Pretty cool actually. Looks like a light fixture to me. The edges are pretty grainy. Other than that it looks pretty good.

The eclipsing object unfortunately seems to be slightly misaligned (or simply not big enough)...

Not certain what materials you used in your setup, but this is a fantastic shot! Nearly flawless (there seems to be a slight flaw at the lower right portion of the black circle), and the lighting creates a great deal of interest. --9

I like how the photo seems to pulsate on its own. Not really sure if that was intentional, but a simple yet powerful photo nonetheless.
