Challenge: Accidental Letters (Basic Editing III*)
Camera: Nikon D100
Location: Baltimore, MD, USA
Date: Apr 5, 2005
Aperture: f8
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/125 s
Galleries: Nature, Still Life
Date Uploaded: Apr 5, 2005

Editing sequence:
1. Cropped
2. Adjusted hue uniformly
3. Adjusted brightness uniformly
4. Resized
5. Sharpened
6. Saved

For this photo I found sticks that looked like the "L","V" and "E" and posed them next to the "O" knot in the tree (which was about 20 feet off the ground, Yikes!) Each letter was made by Mother Nature, but together they made a meaning.
I climbed onto my roof and used a zoom lense to get the shot.

Interesting take on the challenge but I am thinking only the O was accidental. :-) 6

Hey, that's a cool catc. The L V and E look and are probably added, but despite that I still like it. Perhaps because it is such a good message. :)

Don't think this was accidental, but love the idea and gave it a 7.

this only got a 6 from me because these letters are not "accidental"! I'm quite sure you arranged the letters, and for this challenge i preferred pictures of letters hidden in already existing things... besides this, I like very much your pic :)

Hmm, the "O" would've been sufficient. I predict you'll take a beating for staging the rest. Nice entry though.

That's cute. The combination is obviously a set-up (and you didn't even try to "trick" us there), but each component looks accidental enough. Nice effort. 8
