 This is Clyde, (our other cat is Bonnie). This is my first submission for DPChallenge, so I didn't do anything to it but get it to the 150KB file size. The light looks "harsh" to me, but I have no idea what to use to fix it, so I figured I'd post it "natural" and then see what feedback I got.

So this is where my Gus (//www.pbase.com/kiml/image/21818363) was last week when I was looking for him!!

I think you've done a good job with Clyde - I know from trying to get good Gus pics that the flash reflects off him and he just looks like a big shine. Ambient light is usually best for this color of animal.

I do agree that the person in the background and the pattern on the cushions is distracting - would have been better on a solid color.

But he's beautiful!!!

Clyde looks so relaxed and content!
To me this is more of a snapshot than a portrait. The person in the background and the sofa/cushion patterns are very distracting. That's unfortunate because I love his pose and expression!

Clyde is one cool cat, no doubt! I love the pose, the backgroun with the exception of the jeans in teh back on the right? Look like someone was sitting there? Also the flash is a bit much, maybe different lighting? A 6

Great look on the cat's face and the arms crossed are perfect. Too bad about the distractions in the background (i.e., the guy sitting on the couch).

I find the background to be distracting...to much going on that takes your focus away from the cat.
