Have to comment on the horse picture! Lovely pony there, I love their shaggy manes!

A very nice shot overall and the conversion to black and white works well here. Just a few things bother me about the overall shot. The little girl doesn't look very happy for some reason, expressions are big to me in shots like this. Even is she wasn't smiling, her eyes still tell me she's bored and wants this to be over with. Maybe a shot with just the horse might do better, she ends up taking away from the friendly feel with her expression and I'm sorry if this hurts your feelings, I know what it's like to have kids who won't co-operate sometimes. As for the horse, very nice, bit of hay in his forlock there and he'snot really interested either. Just staring off, waiting for something, anything, I'm not sure what. I love shooting horses but one of the biggest pains is getting and keeping their attention for any length of time, even seconds! They can be as finicky as cats sometimes! a 7

This is a wonderful picture. I love the expression on their faces. I think it looks good in b&w. :)

I think this shot would have been improved if she were holding the horse instead of in crossties..it might have made it more intimate.
