just a little something i learned how to do at the PhotoShop Down & Dirty seminar...

making a simple collage
1) open your main(target) document, and then open the source images you want to merge in
2) on the layers palette on a source image, click on the background layer and drag it onto your target document. use the move tool to position/size it where you want it to go.
3) on the layers palette, click on the add layer mask button at the bottom
4) select the paint brush tool and make sure the color is BLACK. use it to paint over the parts of the source layer that you want to hide
5) if you want to get really clever, lessen the opacity of the new layer...
6) repeat until you have merged in all the images you want to include, then save AS SOMETHING different than your original image...

its very easy to overdo a collage but that is certainly not the case here! I really like how the horseman statue almost looks like a third seperate image.
