 This photo represents the Beginning...of the universe? Of human life? My attempt here was to use a macro shot on the core of a plasma lamp to simulate nebulous gases and a red-hot primordial orb. I used Adobe Elements to crop and to adjust levels, contrast, and to punch up the saturation just a bit. The colors in the original image were bold enough that not much adjustment was needed.

Nice colors! I would hate to be the chicken that laid this egg. Hmmm, but if this were the egg that came before the chicken...... Nice focus and interesting image.

Good use of frame filling - not sure about the bright red (is that a hue change) as that detracts slightly for me. Also, is your picture the full 640 pixels? If not, you are wasting some precious space for detail!
