 in a 25 mph residential zone, a woman sideswiped me and caused this damage to my poor car, but luckily neither of us got hurt very much.
I think she was probably looking for something on the floor, and panicked when she looked up and realized she was heading straight for me.
I tried to avoid her by going onto the sidewalk. Didn't quite manage to avoid her, but at least managed to have her hit my side rather than a straight on with a much more sudden stop.
It actually looks worse in person - the interior is all pushed out of whack, too. I can't even close the glovebox anymore.
Had my mother's little powershot A75 camera in the car, and - in true photographer fashion - straight after calling the police, second thing I did was to take photos!!
