 This shot was taken on the easter weekend while on a trip to London wetland center. It was just too fantastic to see the delicate care the mum Black neck Crane was providing to her nest and the eggs, while the father chased away anyone nearing them. This egg slipped out of under her while she changed her position and she very carefully put it back under.

great capture! very interesting image. Like the contrast of black neckand white body, with accent red. very good detail, though foreground might benefit from blur caused by shallower DoF.

I like the way the neck curves, very interesting. This looks like it was tough to expose right, and it seems you got exposed it pretty well. I would try to lighten up the neck and head just a little (I understand you couldn't do that in this challenge). The composition bothers me a little, the egg seems too centered.

Love the photo! Eye-catching combination of lines and colors. The sharp focus on the Mum aand the egg draw the attention to Her attention! The message of "mum"s attention leaves all else in shadow, and out of focus: thus an aptly named photo!

Pretty colors together and good idea. I'd of liked a different angle ..maybe shot from a lower position? It's good contrast.
