To me this symbolizes the world before sin, fragile yet strong. White and umblemished, in a state of such permanence but not at all. A white egg, on white fabric.

This is incredibly beautiful shot. And seeing your comment puts more meaning into it. Very thoughtful work, and excellently executed.

I really wanted to take points off for this being an egg, but I couldn't do that. Technically, this is a beautiful shot. I'm just tired of eggs. And chessmen. And ducks. :) I think the way you captured the fabric is incredible - the texture is right on target. I am going to give you an 8; 1-7 are technical points, 8-10 are WOW factor points. You got me to look twice and I still love the fabric depth even if I still hate the egg. I can over look it in a shot this good. I REALLY need to learn how to do this. Thank you!

Nice egg photo. I like the positioning of the cloth. The highlights seem a little blown out on my monitor.

Very nice lighting. The swirls in the background fabric are appealing.

great capture, exposure, composition etc, but perhaps an overused image (critiscism not leveled at the image, admittedly, but I think that imagination is an important part of capturing viewer attention)! Couple of spots onthe cloth on the right of the egg are also slighlty distracting.

I like the photo but I've still got 'white on white' fatigue.

I think this is an interesting, striking picture. I'm not totally sure about the "in the beginning" connection, but I don't get too picky about voting down good photographs because I may not get the connection. I really like it and think the lighting and composition are great. Good job.
