This is one of the oldest cemetaries in Victoria.. it's a beautiful cemetary with all the old headstones, trees and flowers.. there is so much history there.. many famous people barried there.. and then there was this headstone which looks like it's starting to sink back into the ground.. it made me think about death growing old and being forgotten.. erosion.

For this shot I adjusted the levels, made a selection around the cross and bottom part of the picture, inverted the selection and then applied the lens blur.. this is my first entry into a challenge so please be kind and give constructive critism! Thank you.

Very nice shot.

Well this was potentially an interesting shot, you know from the comments you have recieved that the main reason it didn't do well is the size factor. So I wouldn't worry too much, you obviously have some skill as the great composition of this image demonstrates.

Good luck next time. Oh, and welcome to the exclusive *ist DS club :).

I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.

Too smal. Go to the biggest size that DPC will allow next time and you will do a lot better.

Very good shot, but why so small?! Can't really give you any more than a six - really needs to be bigger!

if only this was bigger (you should make the long side the full 640 pixels), it has so much going for it.

Looks like a great shot, it wont score, to small.....the size needs to be around 600 on the long side, not exceed 640................3.......probably at least a 6........sorry

Please, make your photos bigger. If I could see more detail, I would be able to rate this more highly. Nice composition and color. Well focused.
