Challenge: Stock Photography II (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Detroit, MI
Date: Mar 16, 2005
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1 sec.
Date Uploaded: Mar 18, 2005

This shot really suffers having to be so compressed and reduced in size. Or I am just not good at doing such things, because the detail in the full-size pic is ten times better.

Anyway, shot from the roof of the Penobscot Building (about 500 feet above ground) in downtown Detroit in ugly weather - smog, fog, ugly solid gray skies, etc. Hope to weasel myself back up there on a sunnier day for a nice sunset pic with the Ambassador Bridge in view, and other city shots when the visibility is better.

Shot with 17-40L at 17mm. Had to crop a good bit to increase interest/size of bldgs in view of the limited pic size permitted. Guestimating I will hit my average score on this one.

A bluish-silvery cast to picture is interesting. I would have cropped out the horizon to focus the viewer's eyes on the city specifically. It is very sharp.

This photo seems to have been taken at night, yet the buildings seem to be in daylight...how is this done? I like it for what it is........

I like this photo. Excellent DOF. It looks like a long exposure, however the cars don't seem to be blurred.

I am really a sucker for city shots. I like this one a lot. It may be a tad over-exposed, but I like it alot! Great depth of field. Good luck!

Great Shot! I Like the change in color, it almost doesn't look real. What city is it really?
