I'll I can say is, "...............................?"
There really was no sneaky idea behind the photo, nor any kind of, well, anything. I like the shallow DOF, I needed a picture for my website, there happened to be a stock challenge. I don't get why it did so poorly, but I can't say I get why people are so jazzed about it either, not that I'm complaining mind you ;-).

Seems ashame this photo was so lowly rated - like Roseann said, people just don't get it - it took me a few mins to understand the photo too admittedly.
I really love the idea.
Maybe if you had hinted in the comments what the photo was about - but that would spoil us figuring out for ourselves... |

| Nice background. I like the way the blue contrasts with the orange in the lens. Maybe the shot could be improved if the UV filter was removed? Its a little beat up and keeps us from really seeing the lens. |
