Thanks for the votes, I took this on my light board made for cutting and setting up design layouts. It was overexposed on purpose as that is the way the eye automatically sees it on the board; I also liked the way the light penetrates the skin of the plant to reveal the lines within. My wife was kind enough to supply the tulips earlier this week (isn't she great?!?!) Anyway I wanted to go with a B&W version to emphasis the lines but she liked the color, of course I took her advice. While it didn't receive any ribbons, I'm personally very happy about this picture as it's not something I'd normally photograph and the technique is now an added tool in my chest.

This image is a winner with delicate sensual tones and such a cool color understatement. Greatly under rated. |

You couldn't have picked a better title. The slightly soft focus complements the stark definition of colors and lines. |

like the translucent, high key effect, one of my favorites this challenge |

A little overexposed, pity, could have been a nice image |

I like the use of the white background, it give the shot a very delicate, wispy appearance |

your background is too white causing wrap around. I would like to see the same pic with the background under control. |

Too monochromatic for my taste. It feels too soft as I enjoy bold crazy colors and themes. I know many friends that love this type of beauty photo. Lighting technique is captivating. Flower petals offer strong competition to line theme green stems. Thanks 4 |

Not sensual lines, but I'd like to be able to see more light through the leave. |

Tulips have great lines, and they are well captured in this high-key image. The gaussian blur for diffuse light effect works well here. |
