 I had taken a shot of the leafless tree and cloudy sky outside my job site, but there was a large blown-out area in the upper right. I had taken another photo a few days earlier of my son, Isaac, looking down pensively, so I faded it into the gap. I then used a variety of gradient fills and filters to create the textured borders.
