 While taking pictures of a heron rook (reputed to be the largest rookery of its kind in the world) on a foggy morning, this rotund immature bald eagle flew a reconnaissance, sending about seventy herons off in all the directions.

I like this shot .
Do you know why there is missing pieces in the feathers on the wing tips? I see a lot of that same thing in my shots of Red Tail hawks down here .
