| Nice catch. It would like to see more detail in the subject's face but I guess if the sun was on that side then you wouldn't have the cool backlighting on the snow. |

The light on the snow is beautiful and the position of the snowboarder is good.
A clockwise rotation, say about 4° would help because the trees don't feel right. I even wonder if the image would be stronger without the trees. -5 |

| I think the backlighting kills it for me (as does the sky for this challenge). Perhaps cropping out the trees would help the composition, as well, letting your eye quickly settle and focus on the snowboarder. Fun shot. |

| a literal interpretation of the challenge title, while a good photo, there is no light colors contrasting white, other than the sky |

| Oh yeah, this is a 10. Love the back lighting, focus, near silhouette, mixture of frozen action and motion implied. Not to mention I did a face plant once doing this myself. My wife of course snapped off several photos of the aftermath. Nice job. |
