This early morning photograph of a Cuban building called "Edificio Manzanares" under unsual heavy fog made me believe for a moment that I was in another time zone.

COMPOSITION
I really like the "streetcorner" look of this shot. I think it fills the frame up nicely for the most part, though there doesn't seem to be any one thing to focus on. Instead, the focus for many would probably be wondering how you got it to look so "faded." Perhaps a slightly tighter crop on the sides and top would help to define the picture more.

TECHNIQUE
I found the faded look very interesting, and even more so after seeing that it was a "natural" effect and not achieved in photoshop (or equivalent). Unfortunatly, it does leave the impression of being out of focus, which historically, doesn't do well here. I think the suggestions of sepia may be right on. It would give a more "authentic" look to your shot.

OVERALL EFFECT
I think the "time" element is there, it is just obscure. The picture does look like you are looking backwards in time, but that is probably a further stretch than some viewers wanted to go. Overall, a nice picture, and best to you in future challenges.

I like the blur effect, it's look like the pic is very old

It's a good shot, but the more I look at it the harsher it seems. Cub

I really like this one, it has this weathered feeling to it, nice job and good luck

Reminds me of a old, overexposed movie. Though the image may be too bright (I'd like to see more darks), I love the idea and the technique. Soft focus works great for me.

The blurriness of this picture makes it look like it's really old or something. I think it's a neat picture though.

odd lighting

O.k. you use an old building to illustrate time, but why such a bad quality ?

I really like the building, but the misty effect you have applied is over the top. I can't tell if it's in focus. I think this would have been better 1) without the effect applied (perhaps in sepia tones would be OK and 2) if you could have managed to get the photo with only "old" cars in it - there are loads of them in Havana. This could have been an "antiquey" looking photo, but it just seems to be a hazy looking photo.

If you were trying to make this look old, sepia would have worked better.

Neat shot. Love the color-soft focus....really sweet.

I like the use of the glow, it's a bit too much however. How'd you do that anyway?
