Fits the challenge and the composition in general is good, but the image is rather dull. The highest point of interest is the surfboard because it has that nice bright blue that pulls it out of the drab brown of the rest of the image. This may have been done purposefully, but if so, I'm afraid that the dullness of the surrounding environment really doesn't leave much interest to me the viewer. It looks like the sun may not have been cooperating with you much so the water and sky have no lovely blues to give, but maybe a polorizing filter would have helped a little?

The other suggestion I can offer to give this image a bit more pop, would be to desaturate it completely except for the blue of the surfboard. That would give it a nice uniformish background purposefully and fully highlight the board and thus the person sitting on it too, while adding some nice interest due to the method used. Just some ideas. I gave it a 4.

This is a great shot--but the color and processing of the water looks off to me. I get that you wanted to focus on the surfer--but I think the water is over processed.

To me, the sea and sky look a little unreal. Was this an excessive adjustment or is my monitor dying?

I gave this an 8, if the crop had been better (the bit on the right), or even a portrait rather than landscape angle (to show more sky), then this would have scored higher. Still a wonderful shot.

By the looks of the tide in the picture, it looks like the right moment is going to be a while. The foreground looks great, but I'm not crazy about the greys in the background. Still, I gave it a 7

Water looks weird... I don't know enough to know why yet :) Did you alter it?

looks like the right moment won't be for another couple of months (temp wise ;-)

the photo seems to be a little too tight on her and the board, and doesn't capture enough of the beach and ocean. also seems a bit underexposed.
