 Used some fake flowers. Back light so that I could maintain contrast and minimise blown out areas.

Looks very soft almost out of focus, but then again what do I know. Take my comment with a grain of salt

out of focus... I don't know what camera/lens you have, but I suspect you were closer than the closes focal distance your camera can handle... if you've got a macro mode try that
