Challenge: Light On White (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Nikon Coolpix 8700
Location: My Basement in State College, PA, USA
Date: Feb 25, 2005
Aperture: f 3.4
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/2000

Took this photo in a homemade lightbox. Set the shutter speed for 1/2000 of a second and used a tripod so I would have a hand free. I used yellow food coloring in water and poured it out of a glass soda bottle. Took a few tries to get it just right.

shadow is too distracting.. a different perspective (looking at the glass straight on) with no shadow could of put you in the top 20 at least. I will give you 8 though as I can see what you was attempting to achieve..

It reminds me of urine! LOL, great shot and great exposure keeping the background so clean

I like the idea, but the shadow behind the glass muddles the whole shot.

would have preferred the glass be further from the background, so as not to cast a shadow. the droplets seem to come from nowhere and might better have been rendered as a stream, to give more motion and smoothness to the shot, with possibly more (1/3?) liquid in the glass.

like the color ... the shadow behind the glass is very distracting, though

I have the impression teh glass is tilted slightly. Focus is off a bit too I think.
DPC-style droplet/glass combination. Not very original.

Now that is just interesting looking. The only negative thing I can say is that I think the background would have been better if it was moved back far enough to keep the shadow from showing up.
