It's sevenTies....not sevenDies..... ;-)

If you look there are 7 D's: Dollar, Dart, Dog, Die, Diamond, Duracell and Dime. I wanted to stray from the traditional shots that most folks submitted, album covers, photo's, yearbooks etc. I figured I would get hammered straying with a play on the subject but wanted to just have fun. Thanks for all the comments and votes!

Hm, shouldn't there be 7 of them, then? Or maybe 7 very large breasts?

a collage of too many things; not good

You're kinda reaching on the topic, and the focus is too soft.

Funny idea. I was trying to come up with something similar (but ended up with nothing). Seems like this photo could use a bit more sharpening (unless my eyes are going).

very risky to deviate from the challenge even though I personally think that's creative, you'll get hammered here...good luck.

Like the black background...makes the subjects pop out. Also like the lighting on the dollar bill.

Not very interesting composition. Now.... had the battery been strapped to the dog's back, the dime balanced on his nose, the dart sticking out of his forehead, and his leg lifted over the dollar bill, and the jewelry hanging off his pierced nose...... Couldn't think of one darned thing to do with the die - then maybe !

ok took me a minute but I finally got it. Creative and good lighting but a little too far from the challenge for my taste...sorry.

Ha I'm guessing this is one of the shots considered "out of the box" judging by the title. :-) If the challenges just gave us titles to go by and not definitions to follow, I'd give you props for this.

Nice...Coming from a different angle..Definitely the 70's

Clever, but the picture isn't quite as amusing as the title.

got us there!
02/23/2005 06:34:38 AM
Dog, Duracell, dice, dart, dollar (is that a diamond?)... I only count six, unless you call a coin something with a "d" there. Good idea though :)
02/23/2005 01:22:57 AM
Ah, finally! an original interpretation!
