Found this TV sitting on the side of the road near my mother's house, and I instantly thought of the 70's challenge.

Shot it exactly as it was....glass and all....

Used adjustment layers (hue/saturation and curves) to create the reddish/faded look of pictures from that era.

hmm.... I think this is the only picture that could be taken at that time (if they had yellow signs in that time, not sure).
I would give it a b&w tonality though.

Ps: tv´s were furniture in those days.. indeed! ;)

My wife and I laughed out loud when we saw this old console TV. Man everybody and their friends family had one like this!

The photo definitely has a 70's look. Nice job.

Amusing - could be any decade except for the size of the cabinet.

Ahh I like the 70's color desat and overal comp. I think the TV could've been placed on/near the road better tho. 7

Nice 70's look to the photo, I wish that the angle of composition was just a little more to the left so the TV blocked the yellow street sign...6

Mine still is in use, never thought of using it in a challenge since it is my main TV

The photo tells a great story. And the colors are dead-nuts on for a color print of this vintage. My initial visceral reaction is pretty negative because it lools like a snapshot, but this photo appeals to my subversive side.

love the shot - don't feel the 70's theme in this enough though.
Shot alone earns this pic a 7, however.

I like this idea tremendously but it has too many non-essential distractions in the background.

I think it was "The Medium is the Massage."

perfect 70s color. Great originality. I love this shot. I hope people realize the color in this was intentional. At least everyone over 27 should.
