I quite like the idea, and the colour reprooduction is pretty good; but i think you need to work on your understanding of composition, especially as elements like colour affect it. The clutter and various colours and brighnesses of the jumbled pieces here really removes attention from the curve of fitted pieces, which also only enters the frame in a prettty weak and apologetic way. The graininess of your background doesn't help the impression of the image, and the evenness of the light, whilst helping the definition of your details, has really reduced any sense of three dimensions. There is, technically, some good work here, but that flat light and the lack of any sense of depth has ruined a lot of the good work I fear.

I feel that the speckled background takes away some of the impact that the pieces could have had had they been placed on a plain surface. I like the splash of colour.

this on a plain white backgrond would have looked awesome.
