Hopefully this won't be totally lost on those not from America. I have a feeling that this one will either do well or get hammered. Taken with Sigma 105mm f/2.8 Macro at f/4 with SB-800 flash.
PS- Converted to RGB profile, curves, desaturate, crop.

As European this would have been lost on me without the title.
Having just completed my own, I know the feeling well.

Good idea, and composition, but the image is not strong enough without the title for this to score very well.

barely fits the category

Great idea! I wish the last 0 was more in focus, but a great shot nonetheless

I was thinking of doing something like this...
Good use of shallow DOF.
Might have worked better with slightly more varied lighting to heighten dramatic feeling.

Without the title I wouldn't have a clue what this is (one of the hazards of an international site I guess).

Ouch, yeah, that's very painful.

Yes that is painful and it is true that everything seems to suddenly get all blurry.

Well done.

You're supposed to show the emotion of pain. Not make me feel pain!!
