i find this to be stunning. as a matter of fact, I am adding to my favorites. this is a setup photograph. By that I mean, it sets up the viewer to look around and stay awhile, maybe wonder what is going on in that boat and surrounding grounds. Awesome. |

Hi Bob...returning the favour....
Like the muted colours and soft lighting. Can I make a suggestion (it was a real problem on my shot, too)? The ship and the sea should be the focus of this shot but your signature, the dockside, and the crane in particular, pull the eye away. The way I see this shot is a tighter crop that keeps the 'landscape' ratio but removes any trace of dock. This way you could fool the viewer that the ship is slowly venturing through the fog...and fooling the viewer is what it's all about! (my pic was shot on a bright clear day, for example). Feel free to ignore my opinion.....but keep up the good work! Ben |
