Interesting placement of the subject in the center of the frame. Very effective, I think.

the title makes this picture poor taste.

The title is extremely lausy. But if a disregard the title, the photo is really good. I would perhaps have croped the photo a bit from the right and the top. I'm supposed to judge your photo and not your title...8.

Centered compositions are rarely effective, in this case the monk should be on the left of the frame, as he is facing the right. I don't really see the connection to pain in this shot.

Good contrast and beautiful colors...it would probably have been more effective to show all of the monk.

Very striking colors with the red standing out against the blue water. I like it. My personal tastes would have preferred a little bigger depth of field so that the water was a little sharper too, but I like the picture a lot.

I like the photo, but not sure how it will go over here with that title.

This is a good idea. Photographically I feel it could be improved by placement. I feel it would have greater emotional impact if the subject were in the lower left corner with more view of the ocean to the right and into the distance. Maybe also show the full figure of the subject with the sand at the bottom and the waves coming to his feet. Just a suggestion.

Sorry, i think this is in extremely bad taste
