Wooden artist model on shelf in my office posed and lit with desk lamp. Shot handheld at 170mm. Added slight brightness/contrast adjustment layer for exposure and cropped square...otherwise, exactly as shot.

Nice idea. The pose does a good job of representing grief. I think that the lighting and focus could use some more work though.

Woody is grand. Interesting lighting. I think more emotion could be conveyed by a more full length shot. Without a face, pain is shown by posture of the figure.

Looks like one of those "Doh" expressions, by Homer Simpson.
Maybe if it was focused on his head instead of at his left hand.

Oh, not another woody picture... hey wait, this one's godd, actually! I didn't know woodies could show emotions. Nice. Now, if only the second hand was inside the focus, the DOF would really add some athmosphere. Nice colour tone and lighting. 8.
