Duplicated original image into two layers. then desat one layer, colored one layer then masked them together. I did a guassian blur then decreased opacity to get the soft effect.

Not a personal liking of myself, but that's just me. I admit that I don't tend to vote high for pinks that are only PS'ed.
Great macro shot here with intesting selective desaturation. The iris does seem on the dark-pink side almost a purple color and I thing for me corping it the other way might have worked better. Still like this marco shot.
