To much cloud not enough road. I think the photo would have looked better if you cropped about 2.5inches off the top to make it appear panaramic would have dramatically improved the shot. Good luck in this challenge.

Great sky! I really like how you proportioned the shot. Well done! I just wish that because the assignment is road signs that the sign was just a wee bit more sharp.

Good picture. I also live on Route 66, and now curiosity has brought me to asking where is the birthplace of Route 66? Anyway, nice photo.

Great scene. I wish the sign weren't so far down in the image... hard as it is to do with such a great backdrop, the weird placement of the main element makes for a lot of dead space. maybe a wide-angle lens would have helped here?
