Ironically, I think the other side of that sign actually reads "No Parking -- Police Vehicles Only" -- it's probably also the only street sign without graffiti and/or stickers adorning its backside.

This mural commemorates the People's Park riots of May, 1969. This particular section represents the killing of James Rector -- an out-of-town observer -- by Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies, a.k.a "The Blue Meanies." The medics who took to the streets with first aid kits to treat the wounded later went on to help form the Berkeley Community Health Project (a.k.a. The Berkeley Free Clinic) where I was to later volunteer for several years, and which eventually lead to both of my current jobs.

I shot this over my shoulder out the car window while I was at the stoplight at that corner -- maybe the only place to get a clear shot.

Uncropped -- just one RGB curve, and two applications of USM at 88%/0.8 dia/TH=5; JPEG=6/10

This would have been better if the sign was facing the camera instead of facing away from it.

Would have been better if you used the other side of the sign.

too bad you didn't get the angle with the front of the sign in the photo, without the title the story is lost

Would be better if the front of the sign was included in this picture

A tighter crop and the front of the sign might work better.

This doesn't really scream road sign.

Would of been better if the No Parking was visable.

Be neater if you could see the sign itself...
