excellent work, neil, as well as under-appreciated! don't sweat the scores below 4--that's typical, and not really worth consideration.
the only thing i'd suggest your doing with this is to revisit your image and try various differing crops to see if there is a more powerful presentation of the imagery you've captured. you've got a very strong foundation image to work with, and there might be any number of treatments that could work well. keep up the great work! |

Wow! Great capture! And I love the way the limbs go diagonally across the photo. My only suggestion would be to place the owl (?) by the rule of thirds on the upper right. I know that's just a guideline, but I really think it would have strengthened the composition. That being said, I've never ribboned, so I wouldn't take my advice too seriously ;-) just an opinion that I hope will prove useful. |
