Yes, there is light here, and there's a 'light'house! It's a good subject but the landscape format does this no favours. I would have rotated and got closer, as the surrounding gorse is not condusive to the shot.

| Pretty lighthouse. I wish there was a bit more breathing room above the lighthouse. It also seems to have a slight tilt to the left. Very pretty though. |

I think this will suffer because of the link to the challenge. I know it said any interpretation of a light, but I think this will get marked down because it is a picture of a big light and not a subtle or novel interpretation.
As for the photo itself, I would like to see it rotated a fraction so the light is vertical and the horizon level. The background and foreground are both a little dull and the whole thing looks a bit lifeless to me.
I would have like to have seen this taken at dusk on a day with a beautiful sky and the lighthouse operating. I think that would have scored much higher. |
