 As this New England storm was ending, Adine and I hiked through the hip-deep snow in the woods behind our house out to a field with a swing-set. The snow was level with the swings, but that didn't stop Adine!

Postprocessing: raw-conversion & crop. Sharpened, but that made the background way too promininent, so instead I selected Adine and the snow, then sharpened and increased saturation & contrast (via curves) of the selected region. Resized, reloaded the selection, sharpened again (0.5 radius, 110%), added the border.

To me the snow he kicks up expresses joy. Good composition, the slight diagonal angle to the swing works well.
