I've been practicing panning, a technique that allows you to capture someone or something passing in front of you, where the subject is clear and the background shows motion blur. You have to use low shutter speeds and have the camera in your hands in order to follow the subject, thus making it tricky.
I thougt that a way to practice it by myself is with Woody on my left extended arm and handling my camera with my right arm.

Love how the horizontal discs of his body coincide with the horizontal motion lines of the background.

Excellent photo. Great composition. I wonder how long it will take before woody tires? I'd think he could run for quite a distance. He appears as if he enjoys working out a lot. I wonder what he can benchpress....

A nice panning effect with a different twist: It is easy to pan a moving object such as a car or someone running. Here you had to contrive the scene which can be done in two ways. One is to station woody and move a background, such as poster board or image. The other is by attaching an extension to base of camera. This extension would then hold woody and he can be panned anywhere. Well done and bumping up.

simply done, I bet --- he's attached to the camera or tripod, right? Well done.

Nice shot. Would have liked it more if the blue background blur continued through the left side of the frame. Maybe the little guy was running too fast? :)

Good shot. I can see the potential here - I presume the manequin is attached to the camera/tripod so they always move together.
