Challenge: Bridges (Classic Editing)
Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S602Z
Location: Sydney Harbour, Australia
Date: Mar 9, 2003
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 160
Shutter: 1 Second

After taking many abstract, color corrected and wierd pictures of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, I couldn't go past just a shot of the bridge itself in its architectural brilliance. I was going for a bit of a perspective shot!

Wow! I was amazed at how controversial this angle was! You either love it, hate it or don't know! Thanks for the feedback everyone - my first submission, so I learnt a lot.

un-natural angles usually don't look good to me but you did this one nicely.

The surreal tilt of this shot really adds interest. Great exposure.

Interesting shot - I both like and dislike the tilt of camera: seems to emphasise the height of the nearer tower, but I also find 'realistic' shots, I mean where the whole subject is visible, angled shots quite distracting. Good shooting though - love the city-light on those clouds

i like the colors and clarity but don't like the angle so much

Nice lighting and colour that you've captured here, different angle that you've used which is unusual in itself.

Great shot of the Harbour Bridge! Really like the detail you have captured and the clouds in the background add to the mood. Well done!

This is certainly a very unusual view of the bridge, which I'm not sure I like...it's making me dizzy! I know you probably did it cause you didn't want to have the same kind of shot that most others had. I think it would have worked on it's own without the severe angle because you did a nice job on the color of the bridge and sky, as well as, the way you captured the massiveness of the structure.

Enter your comment here, and then cast your vote...I liked the quality of the picture. The tilt bothered me. But that is just me.

You have impressed me! Love it! The angles and setting remind me of Gotham City and the Batman - Robin TV series I watched as a child. 10plus

Breathtaking shot. Showing the clouds in the picture is fantastic, and you picked a great angle to take this shot. The bottom right light is a little too distracting though. Good job! 8

Although the tilt may have a reason, it seems unjustified and, I think, the picture would be outstanding if the vertical lines were actually vertical. I like the sky full of night clouds and the reflections in the water.
