hello Chickadee.
Critique by Silver Fox.
Composition is quite good, and your photograph certainly met the Challenge.
The visual impact is pleasant to the eyes leading us from the front beams up the logs and along the top of the trestle to the curve at the other end.
Your focus is good and sharp leading almost to the end of the trestle.
The Colour captured of the foliage both in front of the trestle and towards the back with the fog coming down from the mountain is really rich. The colour also captures the age and discolouration of the various timbers used on this trestle.
Very well done! Would have been interesting to see a Train coming around the bend! Keep Shooting. . .looking foward to seeing more of your work in the future.
Regards,
SilverFox |

Surprised this one and the other one didn't do better, although anything in the 6's is good (for me anyway). I really like it since it's very unique. |

Same bridge as "She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain"? |

Wow! Talk about old! You captured imagination here. Look at those old rusty bolts, discolored timbers, the colorful forest. Is this in South America? Still in use?
Look at the colour on those timbers!! What a photograph. Great job. Good clarity, good focus, great exposure, fantastic DOF! Please let me know where this is, as I'm a railway fan in N-scale. |

This picture stirs my imagination. I like the tropical foliage and the archaic construction of the rails. one of my favorites. |

This is one of those things you love finding out in the woods. Found one once before. |

Nice pic. I like the clearness and the colors in the pic. This was also a very nice subject to photo because the bridge is older and something different to see than other normal bridges. |

I believe this bridge has seen better days |

Nice photo. I like the perspective on the bridge. I might have considered cropping the right edge a bit closer (between the two upright posts) so that the top of the bridge disappears closer to the corner, rather than near the middle. I like the colours and texture in the wood. Focus (being on the nearest upright) is wonderful. Well done |

This also looks like another bridge in the challenge but from a different perspective. Nice shot. |

I for one would not cross this bridge, but it's a good picture. I like the texture of the wood and the tropical trees around it. Could use more light though. |

Interesting, like to know where you shot this! I love this interesting bridge, in a jungle looking scene! |

beautiful - great natural progression of contrast, detail (sadly lacking in so many other shots), and something of a story - at least to me. Not sure the title's entirely accurate - it seems to be suffering somewhat :-) |

I like the weathered look of the bridge and the fog adds to the mood. |
