 I took this picture in those few minutes after sunset, where colorful shades still illuminate the clouds, but have a deeper, more mysterious feel - i thought that this subject is really brought out by this background.

I realize that this photo has almost too much detail to look really well in a 640 crop, and I hope it doesn't get graded down because of that. I really struggled to keep the file size under 150K as well...

Nice work. I think this could be improved on if you would get a portrait shot and not landscape. This way you could get the whole tree. Maybe even reshoot and back up a little. I don't ike how the limbs are cut off in the left and right. Nice colors in the sky. This would have done better if it was entered in another challenge

trees are extremely difficult to photograph effectively. you've done a great job unifying the image through effective composition.

Great subject. Unusual hues. Nice complimenting border. The tree seems out of focus and you probably tried to compensate by oversharpening - hence the hallo effect around the branches.
